I first began creating web pages back in late 1993 or early
1994 so that a group of friends could share photos of the new
additions. Those pages were hosted on Prodigy's new beta
internet service. Looking back I am glad that the Wayback
Machine does not go back that far. In the early years what is
considered to be good design has changed. The "hot" sites from
the early 90s evolved to frames based letterbox sites in the mid
90s. Ecommerce came into its own with the dotcom boom.
One of my goals with this site is to pull some of those old
sites out of mothballs to show how designs have changed. If you
have a site design you would like to see here, you will be able
to use our contact form to nominate the site.
